Suzi Suzuki
Cologne, Ibiza, Tenerife
House, Deep House, Tech House, Organic House
(124-128 BPM)
Sun, music, coffee, animals
It all began for Suzi in 1996 in the clubs of London's underground techno scene. Infected by the raw, electrifying sound of that era, she quickly found her own expression: a combination of driving beats, versatile styles, and a keen sense of fashion. Early on, she experimented with different soundscapes, from dirty Chicago house to floating deep house to disco house, which provided a certain amount of groove.
Thus, little by little, their very own style developed, deeply rooted in the beginnings of house culture, but constantly growing and evolving. A sound that still works on dance floors today and has delighted generations of clubbers.
If there's one thing Suzi stands for, it's house music. Her unparalleled sense of the zeitgeist is evident in Suzi's production of captivating beats and dance anthems. She continually develops her production skills and spares no effort in learning all the latest techniques and tools. Suzi enjoys playing from her iPad, but she's also a reliable guarantor of perfect parties and events, both live and on vinyl. Whether it's a sundowner or peak time, anyone who's booked Suzi knows where they're at.
Her motto "MY MUSIC IS UR FOOD" speaks for itself: Music is nourishment for the soul and body. This idea runs through Suzi's entire artistic work and is also reflected in her projects. In the following years, Suzi played on international stages and provided boisterous nights around the world, with permanent bases in Ibiza, Tenerife, and Cologne.
In addition to her DJ sets, she produces her own radio shows for the Radioradionetwork and regularly performs sets on the legendary Ibiza Global Radio, the island's most renowned radio station and a fixture on the international club scene. With a great deal of passion and a keen sense for musical trends, she regularly curates sets that reflect her very own sound.
At the same time, new releases are constantly appearing on their own label
Suzuki's Beatkitchen – featuring artists such as Barbara Alcindor (French Affair, Defected, Leng Records) and Wim Roelants.
As a DJ, Suzi travels throughout Europe; not only behind the decks, but also live: together with Wim Roelants, she presents her new project "N10s," which merges electronic sounds and live elements.
Suzi produced an exclusive remix for John Helliwell, saxophonist of the legendary band Supertramp. The result is the track "Ibizan Summer Rain," a tribute to the island's special atmosphere.
